Upgrading Equipment
In Elsword Weapons and Armor (Top, Bottom, Shoes and Gloves) can be upgraded. By default they start without upgrades, and as you upgrade they become +1, +2, +3 up to +11.
To upgrade equipment, you need to talk to any blacksmith NPC (indicated by the sword icon in town). You will need a certain item and some money in order to upgrade.
Guide
1) Talk to the NPC and open up his/her shop.
2) Click on the button with the + in, on the bottom left of the shop window.
3) Click on the desired item you wish to upgrade
4) This menu will open up:
5) Click on either of the two buttons at the bottom to upgrade.
Risk
When upgrading, you need to take caution that as you further upgrade your equipment, the risk of the item breaking will increase.
From +2 onwards, upgrade may fail to work (equipment will not break)
From +4 onwards, upgrade may degrade when failed (from +4 to +3 etc)
From +6 onwards, upgrade may reset or break. (If reset, item goes back to +0. If break, item will be unusable until you recover it using an item bought from the cash shop.)
Items required to upgrade
Upgrading Weapons
Upgrading Armor
Special Items
Fluorite Stones
These are stones bought from the cash shop. They can be used alongside upgrades to ensure items will NOT degrade and will NOT reset. But there is a chance they still WILL break. Much like upgrade stones that vary in level ranges, Fluorite stones require a specific stone that meets the level range. To use them, you have to tick the box that was mentioned earlier in the picture.
Repair Scrolls
If an equipment breaks, it cannot be used unless you repair it with an item bought from the cash shop. To use them, you right click on the scroll and then click on the broken item. Much like Fluorite Stones, they range in level also.
Upgrade Scrolls
Items can be instantly upgraded to a certain level at a 100% rate by using upgrade scrolls. These can be gotten from events and Ice Breakers. To use them, simply right click on one and then click on the equipment you wish to upgrade.
